Support- and beta-nodes

All DISP programs are beta-tested and distributed by several nodes
in the world. Below is a list of current beta/support noded. For
every node there is an entry to what the current status is (beta-

The BBS's above will always have the most current version of the DISP
software available. Also, in some cases, it is possible to request the
newest versions with a standard file-request (ask your Sysop). On most
of the mentioned BBS's, you can request the newest version by Freq'in
for the 3-letter product-code (MTA) and NEW, so MTANEW, XFDNEW, QFVNEW
and so on.
The actual DISP-HQ is point 2:512/100.5, but this is a closed system
and can not be accessed from the 'outside'). You CAN address netmail to
this point though !
Becomming a beta-tester and/or support-node
───────────────────────────────────────────
If you think that beta-testing DISP-software (MTA, FileDoor, QFV, RFW
and so on) is something for you, then do the following:
Zone 1,2 and 5
--------------
- Write a LETTER (NOT a netmail/echomail message) to the address above,
telling WHY you want to be beta-tester and/or support-node;
- Tell something about yourself, what you have done sofar in the area
of beta-testing;
- Tell something about your system (hardware, running software);
- Tell me that can work according to the rules mentioned below (*);
- Tell me your node-number;
Netmail/Echomail messages that deal with the question to become a
support/beta node are (in general) not answered.
You will get a written answer from me. There can be three cases:
- You are accepted;
- Your on the 'waiting' list. I keep the number of testers and
support-nodes low. When some node whishes to stop the testing
and/or support, the next one from the list is asked again;
- You are not accepted;
Zone 3,4 and 6
--------------
As above, but you can also send me a netmail message (2:512/100 or
2:512/100.5 under Rob van.hoeven). We are still in big need of beta
testers and support nodes in these zones.
(*) rules for beta-testing/support node follow below:
- You must come and get the newest beta-versions AND release version
yourself. The frequency is depending on the zone. In general, at
least once a week;
- You must support the DISP-echo;
- You can be a beta-tester without support but you can't be a support
node without being a beta-tester;
- You must agree to a set of rules that are send to you when the deal
is closing;
